Thank You!
Hello everyone, and thank you for your interest in my experiment that is A Daydream Away!
I am primarily a composer, but being new to scoring video games with not much work under my belt, I decided to create a short Kinetic Novel that would allow me to practice composing semi-adaptive music.
As a creator, I love stories. I've always loved playing video games, so it made sense to try making one one day. It all worked out in A Daydream Away, allowing me to write up a "VERY" cliché story, get my hands dirty with a new game engine, and write some of my favorite tracks I've ever written.
The game is by no means revolutionary, and is extremely short all things considered. Still, it was a really fun undertaking, and has led me to discover that I enjoy game development quite a bit. However, I'll always be a composer first and foremost.
So again, thank you for your interest in my game. Let me know your thoughts after playing through, and if you enjoy the music, please let me know! I'd love to compose for more games in the near future.
With Love,
Mark Alan Knapp Jr.
